Morgan Stanley sued for failing to secure personal data.

In the USA a class action has been issued alleging failures by Morgan Stanley to safeguard personal data, leading to a data breach.

The complaint alleges, among other things, that Morgan Stanley sued because they had failed to properly secure and safeguard personal data including names, social security numbers, passport numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, account numbers, dates of birth, and income, among others. In addition, it is alleged that Morgan Stanley failed to provide timely, accurate, and adequate notice to people that their personal data had been lost.
